Presentation Montessori school Unterwaltersdorf - December 2025

Today I had the opportunity to give a presentation to 22 teenagers at the Montessori School about IMARA Africa and our work – with a special focus on water, sanitation, and hygiene.
I was thrilled by the many questions from the students and the great energy in the room.

„Behind the Scenes“ video shoot - November 2025

Our first Imara Africa video shoot
Sometimes things happen that deeply touch us and remind us why we started this journey.
Through our friend Anneke, who made the connection, something truly special became possible.
The talented and experienced video producer Clemens Sigel donated a video production for Imara Africa.
The shoot took place in a professional environment, and it was filled with warmth, joy, and a genuine passion for our project.
We are endlessly grateful for this incredible support!

Livingroomtalk - November 2025
“Kenya through my own eyes” – An evening that moved and connected us
For the first time, I had the opportunity to present “Kenya through my own eyes” to a selected audience - made up of close friends and family . I shared exclusive insights into the work of Imara Africa.

The evening took place as a true living room talk – personal, warm, and intimate.
The audience was wonderfully diverse: from 10 to 86 years old, all generations were represented. And once again, it became clear that the issue of water touches us all – regardless of age, background, or continent.
As we talked about Kenya, the people we met, and the challenges around access to clean water, a very special atmosphere emerged:
quiet moments, reflection, honest emotion – and a sense of hope.
Many guests were visibly moved, others inspired, and everyone left with something to think about.
This evening showed us how important it is to tell stories, raise awareness, and take people along on our journey.
We are already looking forward to continuing our series of talks with a wider audience. We want to show even more people why Imara Africa was founded – and why clean water truly changes lives.

Field visit Kenya October 2025
In October 2025, I spent four days in Kibarani, a community in eastern Kenya. I visited families, had conversations, spoke with women, young people, and teachers—and, above all, listened.

The purpose of the trip was to understand the real needs on the ground, build trust, and identify where our support can make the greatest difference.
These days showed me once again that real, sustainable change only happens when projects are developed together with the people they affect. This is excactly where the work of Imara Africa begins.

Association founded in October 2025
In October 2025, we officially founded Imara Africa as an association in Austria. A true passion project that brings together people who want to support underprivileged communities in Africa.
We empower underprivileged communities across Africa through sustainable solutions in the areas of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH).
Because clean water, safe toilets, and proper hygiene are not a luxury. They are the foundation for health, education, growth, awareness, dignity, and real opportunities for the future.
We work locally, collaboratively, and sustainably—so that people don’t become dependent on aid, but can build their own strength.
So that they can make decisions independently.
So that the future becomes opportunity – not chance.
Imara means: strong.
And this is exactly what we aim to make possible through our work.
We warmly invite everyone to become part of our growing community, to get involved, contribute, and help shape the future together with us.
Join us and become part of Imara Africa – together, we can achieve more!
